What is the best acoustic guitar for a person who wants good sound but is not trying to be a professional?

I like to cover songs, and i’m in search for a fuller sound. Right now I’m playing a Washburn WD-31, which is fine, but it’s playability decreases as you go down the neck, I’ve already had the bridge adjusted, but i think that i could find a better sounding guitar. Help/advice would be great, and if you could keep the price below 1000 that would be even better!

I’m a huge fan of Taylor acoustic guitars. They sound FANTASTIC.

You should really take your time this time. Don’t just settle for something that’s lacking in one area, but is great in the next area. Don’t compromise either. There are plenty of local guitars that will fully satisfy your guitar desire, without taking some of your quality that you desire. Look local though, as each guitar of the same brand and model will sound different in reality. A great guitar must be found by constant, avid searching. Prayer helps too. That is assuming you have God. Don’t satisfy your guitar needs with weak, incomparable guitars though. I did for years but not anymore, and I love the one I have right now. It’s great. Buying a guitar online is like searching for a car online. You don’t really know if you want it unless you can sit in the seats, and take it for a drive.
